FINDING THE CORRECT LENGTH OF YOUR SISU GRIP POLES

The length of Sisu Grip poles is easily adjustable thanks to their telescopic design. The locking mechanism includes a tightening screw, allowing you to fine-tune the tension as needed.

Every body and walking style is different, so the length adjustment shown in the video serves as a good starting point. However, it's important to experiment with slightly shorter and longer settings to find the most comfortable fit - walking should feel natural and relaxed. Your arms should move as they normally do, with the poles acting as an extension of your hands, supporting the body's natural motion.

⚠️ If your upper back feels stiff during or after walking, your poles are likely too long. Try adjusting them slightly shorter and notice how it affects your walking comfort.

WALKING TECHNIQUE

Walking and the natural movement of our arms are automatic for most of us—we don’t need to consciously control them.
However, when learning to use Sisu Grip poles, focusing too much on the execution phase can actually disrupt your natural walking rhythm.

Based on test groups, the simplest and most effective way to learn the proper technique is to start with these steps:

1️⃣ Let your hands rest naturally by your sides and start walking, gently dragging the poles behind you.

2️⃣ Gradually introduce natural arm movement until your walk settles into a rhythm that feels familiar.

This simple exercise helps correct technique mistakes without overthinking them.

⚠️ Pay attention to how the movement feels. The poles should provide a gentle push forward with each step.
If you don’t feel this effect, try adjusting the pole length slightly longer and focus on achieving a light forward propulsion.
