Sisu Grip is designed for fitness walking and active movement. Some users find that the poles bring added confidence, rhythm, and comfort to their walking. However, they are not a substitute for medical aids such as crutches or a rollator.
Why does Sisu Grip feel different?
Four features that change the feel of your walk
Wrist in a neutral position
The horizontal handle changes the position of the wrist compared with a traditional pole. The palm rests on the handle without the need for a firm grip, and the hand movement stays slightly lower, which helps keep the shoulders more relaxed.
Soft step and a steady rhythm
The spring in the handle dampens the impact of the pole before the shock transfers to the wrist or elbow. As the hand moves back, the spring returns the motion forward and helps maintain a brisk walking rhythm. On uphill slopes, the same flexibility assists with strides.
Hands are instantly free
With Sisu Grip, your hand rests on the handle without straps. The pole stays with you as you move, but you can quickly free your hands, for example, to use your phone or adjust your clothing.
Spring returns motion
When the pole hits the ground, the spring in the handle stores energy from the movement. During the push-off, the spring releases, returning the force forward at just the right time. This makes the movement rhythmic and helps maintain a steady walking pace.
"The design of Sisu Grip walking poles brings a new dimension to pole walking,
making it easier and more comfortable for all ages."
Liikuntaneuvos Tuomo Jantunen, Former Executive Director of Suomen Latu
